Can i just break all the wooden chests without opening them ?

Does the content inside gets damaged or removed when i break chests?
im having a really big problem with Lockpicks

Yep, can even break some reinforced ones with a blunt weapon and high enough STR. Force based spells probably work too, haven't tried.

thanks, destroyed like 20 chests in my base right now :D

also didnt know hammers are better for breaking chests. Using the Orphic hammer for it

Breaking chests do not destroy the items inside, however if the item is on the floor and something explodes or spreads fire to the item, it has a chance to be destroyed so be careful when blowing up chests with barrels next to them.

Or bugged, i.e. not be able to be picked up.

Lockpicking becomes obsolete when you have a 2h mace, destroy doors, chests, everything. Well looting becomes obsolete after ACT1, really.

sad that i only realise this by the end of the game, there is like 2 more quests left before i go to the brain

They don't break, altho i wish there was a chance the items inside could get damaged because it pretty much makes picklocking pointless once you realize that. Just smash the damn thing and you're good.

I just got fed up with how pointless it is to loot things cause 95% is just garbage, especially when you have to lockpick so I just started destroying everything and it turned out to be a lot more efficient.
