Launcher black screen

Hello everyone i'm sorry if this was already posted !

So after the new patch the game is impossible to play for me. Every time a start the game, when the launcher pop, it's only a black screen for BG3, when i switch to divity it works, and again if i come back to bg3 black screen, i've tried to cancel the launcher with the "-skip-launcher" but that's doesn't work either, did someone have an idea ?

Do you mean the game opens but it's just a black screen, that when touched, returns "This program is not responding"?

If it's that, just wait for 2 or so minutes, and it will launch.

If not, remove the --skip-launcher command. See if that works.

No, just the launcher, I can’t go into the « real game »

If it's that, just wait for 2 or so minutes, and it will launch.

If not, remove the --skip-launcher command. See if that works.

Check if you can open the Larian Launcher without BG3. It should be in the game files somewhere

If it doesn't work even then, it's confirmed a launcher issue

BG3 doesn't have its own launcher, the larian launcher directly opens the BG3 game

huh, okay it might be that the EXE also contains the launcher, or at least it's linked to it. I'll take a look at it

Huh okay I guess the way exe is compiled has changed since I last looked inside an exe, can't help much with that unfortunately. Try verifying file integrity is all I have left

i swear you used to be able to just drag an exe into notepad++ and read it from there

Already did that and uninstall, install after. Maybe i need to wait antother patch, Thanks a lot for taking the time to helping me !

You can use the exe when Steam is off.
