Is it possible to recruit all companions in one playthru?
....So Halsin says you need to kill all the goblin leaders in order to complete his quest and presumably recruit him. Though to get the drow paladin woman, you kind have to ignore that whole questline... so is this not possible?

It's not possible, no. Used to be possible via an exploit, but it's been fixed.

You cannot recruit all companions at the same time.

It's not possible without mods anymore.

As others have said, no you cannot

In order to get the Drow Paladin, you lose Halsin, and probably karlach and Wyll

Yep, Wyll would leave the party once you attack the grove and Karlach would leave the party right after you successfully capture the grove.

That sucks. And you're recompensated with only one companion, lose access to plenty of tiefling stuff in A2 and probably more... Too bad they really pushed towards this resolution, as I would love to side with the goblins in my next playthrough, but it feels inferior. They should really make more companions appearing in A1 to compensate for possible loss of 3 of them if you go the goblin way.

It's either Halsin or Minthara.

Afaik you can also convince Minthara to ignore the grove, which would let you keep Wyll and Karlach. It does lock you out of all questlines that involve the Tieling refugees (since the Goblins will keep blocking their way out).

It appears to be that adding Minthara costs you Halsin, Karlach, and Wylll. So trading 1 character for 3?

Not going to stop me doing it on second playthrough :D

Evil playthrough is completely not worth it in this game which made me really sad. Usually evil playthrough is rewarding and you have to make a decision between some moral principles vs "hey, I can get this perk" (the best example that comes to mind is DOW2: Chaos Rising where more you fall to the Chaos side the more power you gain, however most of the times you feel like a total sc*mbag with the ending of you becoming a Chaos champion if you have totally fallen to Chaos or beheaded if you did not fully fall). However in BG3 you are actively punished for being evil and you would lose allies which you would need at the end of the game,

You can lose only Halsin if you ignore the conflict. You can get Minthara as long as you don't kill her.

If you attack the grove you will lose Halsin, Wyll and Karlach for sure, and then potentially lose Gael and also Minthara :lunar2019crylaughingpig:, based on you choices and rolls.

Sounds like being evil in this game has actual consequences.

Looks like you totally ignored the DOW2 example I provided earlier or are you saying that did not had consequences? One more time: usually people are evil not for the hell of it (I know modern media would try to convince you otherwise) but to gain power, money and other benefits and usually in real life being good has actual consequences. Here there is no consequences for being good however you are actively punished for being evil.

Yes, I am saying that did not have consequences. Making the player feel kinda bad while also giving them more power isn't a consequence.

There are definitely consequences for being good here, just as there are for being evil.
