Animal Torture in BG3

I have been a DM and player of D&D since the 80’s and have seen just about everything in games. However, I have never seen the level of animal torture that’s in this game. It really takes a sick mind to give players an opportunity to Role Play and torture animals. There are 3 main instances of this in the game that i found and might be more. 1. You can rip a hurt birds wings off to torture it. 2.. Give your dog to a crazy woman that beats it. 3. randomly kicking animals. What kind of DM makes a game like this?

You missed the squirrel being kicked to death part( above where the lift is and a bear sleeping on it in emerald grove ), was kinda funny as I didn't realise you would actually hit and kill it in one kick, just thought you would shoo it away but nooo, it's really up there if you want to roleplay as a psychopath and a homicidal maniac.

This game isn't for the feint of hearts as there is really some screwed up choices you could do, mutilating gale's hand in the portal was just savage.
