Weird bug.. .Can't equip "Vision of the Absolute"

So there's this early-game Spear called Vision of the Absolute, that I've kept in my inventory. I recently ran into a Spectator enemy, and figured, hey, this thing has multiple eyes, let's use that spear...

But when I try to equip it, I get a red error message saying "Can't equip this right now". I can equip any other weapon in my inventory except that one... Has anyone run into something like this? I can't equip it on anyone else either, I tried.

Are you trying to equip it in combat? It takes an action point to equip weapons.

No, I'm outside of combat, just outside of where the spectator spawns, and like I said, I can equip any other weapon.

I can apparently also not DROP the weapon... it seems to definitely have bugged out somehow... could it be that I used it as my "bound" weapon 2 levels ago on my eldritch knight? I can't equip it on them either, but ...

Hmm, I'm not sure then sorry. If it was bound, then they should be able to equip it still. Can it be transferred to other companion's inventories? Have you reset your class using withers? That might break bound things. I'm not really sure what else to suggest.

Yeah, the bug still persists. I can't equip it on anyone. I can't drop it either, or sell it. I can transfer it to camp, or to another persons inventory, but that's it. So I sent it to camp so it won't weigh me down.

chiming in to say that I've suddenly encountered this bug too, for the Doomhammer. Anyone ever find out the fix?
