Stupid question: What spell counters the madness debuff?
I have searched every way I can think of, and every search I make brings back returns of items or proper nouns with the word "madness" in it. I have the flail that can give you madness if you don't attack that round, all I want to know is what spell will remove it during a turn if I need to pop it off. Is it lesser restore? Remove curse? Great restoration, etc. I love this game to death, but the tool tips and documentation in-game are absolutely terrible.

There is no spell that will remove or prevent madness. I believe all it is, is a Wis save and thats all.

All you can do is get something that gives you an adventege to saving throws...

Calm Emotions should do it.

I really hope this isn't correct... it would be one of the few conditions that can't be removed and daddy really loves this health-restoring flail on my paladin. If I have to give this thing up, I'm going to cry crocodile tears.

They have toned down greater restoration along the years.

I was fully prepared to be flamed to death for asking such a dumb question. I have to admit, I'm disappointed about there not being a solution, but I feel somewhat vindicated of not asking the dumbest question possible. Bitter sweet outcome. =\

I don't know if this will work but maybe try having another party member shove the person hit with the madness? It clears some other effects. Worst case is it doesn't work.

I believe if you use a spell or item that prevents the "Charmed" group of conditions, it should prevent the madness debuff. I was curious myself, so I started tooltip hunting and found it on a pair of gloves I had stored away. It specifically stated that Madness is a debuff that is part of the "Charmed" group of conditions, thus I believe that a spell or item should counter the Madness effect (the ring from Omeluum comes to mind). I have not tested this, so maybe one of you guys might find this information useful. Screenshot provided https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198867728907/screenshot/2030615318404866912/

Madness and Charmed are the same thing

What is bloodshed but madness among those that could amicably reconcile their differences? With every passing stroke of the lash is sanity not stripped thrice as much as flesh? Where in the design of such an instrument was the vision of serenity, when it is nothing more than a vision of calamity?

Think upon it; those who commit the greatest and most obscene acts of violence are often times the maddest of them all.

Is it a wisdom savings throw? I have a helmet that gives me advantage on those

I think the clothes you get off Gortash prevents any mind-altering conditions. But that's obviously SUPER late game.
calm emotions 100% works for the demon spirit madness
