SPOILERS - Yenna missing? - SPOILERS
So in my playthrough Gale was kidnapped by Orin, i went to the temple and killed her and freed gale......but Yenna is suddenly missing? Ive read somewhere that if you dont take a specific party that Yenna glitches out and just disappears but is that really it? or am i missing something?

Yenna is there as the fail-safe victim, doesn't really have any point or interaction apart from that. Not sure if bug or intentional disappearance though.

In my first playthrough I forgot to actually free Halsin from the chains during/after the fight (assumed he was) and ended up leaving him there. Yenna stuck with me in camp, no change in dialogue and Halsin turned up at the gathering of allies thing (though was apparently still in chains).

For me Gale was kidnapped and Yenna was fine at base, UNTIL i went and freed gale at which pint Yenna disappeared but her cat was still there and had no comment on Yenna disappearing. Which is naturally really odd since ive read Yenna is supposed to sell you soup after you kill Orin as a new Trader.

Yenna is there in my camp, then when I have the conversation in the sewer with Orin where the kidnap victim is revealed, Yenna is suddenly missing. Grub remains.

This content has the same bug some other content has. There are many quest flags that can trigger inside or outside the camp, but one does not connect with the other. In this case you need to go through the whole kidnapping in camp for the Yenna arc to unfold. If you find Orin elsewhere, Yenna wont be in the camp.

I had Yenna disappear long before Orin kidnapped someone in my camp, so I guess she's just bugged?

Was in the sewers, met "Lae'zel" (Orin) who said she had the real Lae'zel hostage, and I noticed Yenna was missing. Saw that some people said she'd reappear once you take out Orin. Buuut I've very much murdered Orin, saved Lae'zel, and have long rested many times since then. And still no Yenna. Her cat is still there and seems entirely oblivious to Yenna being thanos snapped. No one in camp has commented on her being gone either.

I can only assume this was some half baked npc that is just super buggy because they're not important enough to care about fixing.

this has happened to me, which made me think Yenna was Orin the whole time. on 2 characters so far this has happened. Halsin was kidnapped and Yenna disappeared and when the quest was over and hostage rescued the cat was still in camp but she was gone.

This is how it happened to me. On my first toon it was Halsin. on second run it had her kidnap Lae'zel but I reloaded my save and placed Lae'zel in my party before starting the scene and it was halsin again. but in both instances when they got snatched Yenna vanished and when i finished the quest she never came back.

Yenna vanished immediately after the kidnapping for me. I assumed she did it, since Gortash said Orin had a spy working in my camp during the coronation.

Edit: I actually loaded to postpone the kidnapping cause I had some unfinished business with the victim and the same thing happened a second time.

Edit 2: Her skiddish cat seems to me a kind of a clue that she's probably a Bhaalist/doppelganger.

Yenna is just Orin in disguise? she presumably took the real kid before you ever met her, hence the traumatized cat

Yeah its the cat that confuses me, her cat is still in my camp and talks as if she was there. If it werent for the cat id assume like some others here have said that it was orin

That sequence is not set in stone. It's dynamically determined depending on several conditions.

For example, whoever gets kidnapped can't be in your party. They also can't be a hireling or dead. If nobody meets these conditions, Yenna gets kidnapped instead. If they do, then Yenna is implied to be Orin (or one of her doppelgangers, anyway), which is why she disappears.

Yeah, same for me, I guess, Orin killing her offscreen if we don't play specific way to save her in camp dialog or after kidnaping.
Probably, Yenna was needed for those players, who apparently have all Gale, Halsin and Lae'sel all with them, so there would still be an option
