"find your belongings" quest is still bugged ??

After so many years and patches, I congratulate the stupid formation called larian on the fact that this quest is still buggy !

I saved mirkon and other kids and followed all steps required to complete the quest but the dialogue from Mol to ask for my stuff back didn’t show up. it stucked on my open quests. can't finish it.

Ah thats the issue, she isnt the one to give your stuff back! Its in the chest near their item stash in the lair. The quest mentions that but its hard to miss without going to the quest log :)

I did that too. I even started the game from the beginning and did what you said. but the quest failed. I don't want the quest to fail.

Hmm.. not sure why the quest is failing, but I do hope you were able to get your stuff back at the very least!

It's not important for me to get my stuff here. The successful closure of the quest is the important thing. A game with such high grades started to make me laugh from nerves because of bugs like this.

If you catch the little thiefling trying to pickpocket you, this is not an issue.

So to summarise this bug.

The quest only triggers if you fail a perception check while talking with the tiefling child showing his ring tricks.

To get the belongings back and complete the quest, you are supposed to first accept the quest to steal the Selune idol, which then unlocks a dialogue option with Mol regarding getting your belongings back. Currently this appears to be bugged and doesn't appear as an option.

You can still steal back the items by looting the associated pouch, but the quest won't recognise this as a completed quest. You have to have the dialogue with Mol first to register the completion.

Yup...don't go to jail, anywhere, better to kill everyone on the streets before going into that maze of bad code.
