Ending Act 1 -- Githyanki creche vs Underdark

I am worried: I cleared out the Underdark, and the elevator is prompting me to tie up loose ends, but I also found the bridge to the mountain pass, which also says it will progress me. However, the mountain pass also has the Githyanki creche quest, so the question is, if I take the underdark path, do I miss out on the githyanki creche quest? or is it accessible later? I planned to take Underdark path, but I don't want to miss out on a clearly important piece of content.

A little heads up if you do Mountain Pass in Act 2, try to not take too much time going there. Lae'zel will try to leave the party if you take too much time, although when she tells you she's going, you can tell her to go together for her to stay with you.

I did the underdark and then the creche, then went back to the Grymforge to try to get to Shar Temple because the journal update convinced me that I would be able to find a way to it. Wasted a silly amount of time running around in circles and getting frustrated, until I finally looked it up to find you go there naturally later in the game. Its a bit confusing, but the actual point of no return in act 2 is going to the Shadow Cursed Lands, not the Underdark. Until then, all act one fast travel points are still open.
