Put him out of his misery.
Yeah, if you're talking about the gnome attached on the mill, Barcus.
Actually most of characters you speak to in Act 1 have an impact afterwards.
for Barcus: you meet him multiple time, even to a point where he can be one of the most important allies
He is a bit of a "s-roll" if you know what I mean. I dislike him for that. Then you save him again a little time later, and he is still an s-roll. And you see that the guy he means to save is a bigger roll than he is. You meet them at Last Light Inn after you break people from the prison. Cool, good guy stuff. By my evil playthrough I was already killing him at the mill. But it is his "group" that stroke me wrong. They are a kind of "gnome mafia", and a really bad one. When you talk to the girl with the explosives, you get the "una bomber" feeling. (Watch that movie "Predestined", and you get the exact same feeling as the final "bad guy rant" rolls). Then I decided to go around reading about and I learned that in the game they seem to be such organization. A s-roll kabala, if you will.
But the worse, to me. When you get to blinded gnome, even in my evil playthrough I dont let Obelia die. It simply get to me, for reasons I know and reasons I dont, none matters, I just cant. And then, the gnomes want to kill the blinded gnome, even if he is the last one, blinded, shaken, broken. Like a Karlach moment, I dont care, he simply HAS TO DIE.
