I'm in act three and it was chugging (even had my pc overheat once) but since the patch the animations are smoother than they've ran since I've installed. But it doesn't seem to be the case for everyone.

for ndvia user ,may be that can help
power plan management ( balanced )
ndvia performance power plan management ( balanced )
turn off CPU boost , by tweaking CPU usage on windows 95-97% max
on ndvia control panel , reset cache , for the app BG3.exe ( pick the one used for Dx11 ) , reset by default
relaunch the game , set auto detection for setting graphics
cap your fps ( decrease by 10 until you get a flat smoothly frametime / fps )
run the game over 10/15 min check temp GPU/CPU

The only way i happened to get rid of most issues was by deleting my profile (WARNING, it deletes your saved games). Not only it goes smoother now, but the dice rolls are much more in my favour (i removed karmic dice and i was still afflicted by the "i miss a lot" bug).

This patch broke the game for me. I don't even want to play it anymore. Everything takes forever to load. And I do mean everything.

I had a very long loading time when I first loaded into my save file from before the update.

I saw in their patch notes something about load times for save files on previous patches getting faster, so that part didn't hold true.

However, after I loaded in and saved again (now it being a save file on patch 2), I loaded in roughly 30% faster than I was getting since the game launched.

As for FPS improvements.. huge. Was between 35-55 FPS once I got to the city in act III. Now I'm 55-75. Was around 80-90 in acts I and II before, now I'm over 120.

Loading time for saves made before Patch #2 was maybe 40~50% longer. Loading time for saves made after Patch #2 (load>save>restart game>reload) was maybe 25~30% shorter.

Before Patch #2, I had very noticeable stuttering (very bad 1% lows) in the beginning areas of act 3. After the update, everything has been buttery smooth.

I entered the city for the first time after Patch #2, so I have no basis for a before-after comparison. I'm above 60 fps in most places, and the lowest I've noticed was 53 fps.

I didn't have crashes before the update, and I don't have crashes after the update.

Save/Load is taking it's sweet time. Noticed some slowdown in the Shadow Cursed Lands, too.
this entire patch was to nerf the games resource demands to smooth out the game on lower end hardware. Mainly the steamdeck, and since it wasn't actually optimization the game now runs worse on higher end systems
