There is another game that is connected to the BG 3 universe (maybe).
So, many years ago, I started playing a game called MTG Arena.
A quick introduction for those who don't know what MTG ARENA is: MTG Arena is a digital card game where you create a deck of magical cards and use them to battle against your friends, computer, or other people on the internet. Each card represents a spell, creature, or special ability, and you take turns playing and strategizing to defeat your opponent by reducing their life points to zero. It's like a digital version of a classic card game called Magic: The Gathering, where you use spells and creatures to outsmart and defeat your opponents.

End of introduction:

So, I played this game yesterday, and I saw some familiar faces there. I saw Shadowheart, Astarion, and Lazel. You can equip them as your avatar(I use Astarion as my avatar). And when I realized that these characters are from BG3, I started looking at other avatars, and I saw some characters that were in the game and those that you could play as. Another thing I somehow was able to notice in the game, is that one of the cards represented a place FROM THE GAME BG3. I was shocked, and then I truly realized that those two games are from the same universe.

What amazes me the most is that in MTG Arena, there are a total of 1,468 cards, and they are all connected to the game. MTG Arena has some of the best-looking art, and every card looks stunning in its own way.

I searched on Google about this theory, and nobody was talking about it. I think MTG Arena is really underrated. If you want to see more of the BG 3 universe, play MTG Arena. There are many cards that would make you say, "I know this race, I know this place, I know this character," and so on.

This game is available on PC and mobile; I'm not sure about the consoles.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I had to say about MTG Arena and BG3.

Some urls where you can find some beautiful pictures from MTG Arena Art (most of them are the first pictures on the website):

SHADOWHEART: https://mtgazone.com/spoilers/shadowheart-sharran-cleric/

Lazel. There are two types: before transforming and after transforming into a mind-flayer. IDK if it's lore accurate, and don't spoil if it is: https://mtgazone.com/spoilers/laezel-githyanki-warrior/

Other sick-looking cards: https://aetherhub.com/Article/MTG-Arena-Hidden-Advanced-deck-builder-options

To complete my annoying discussion, i want to say that MTG Arena brings BG3 to life even more. I know so much about their world and soo many creatures that could've been in the game but aren't, but you can still see them in the MTG Arena. It's so cool, and I highly recommend it for anyone who loves BG3. Thanks for reading.

Baldur's Gate 3 is set in the Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) Forgotten Realms. Although the game is made by Larian, D&D is owned by Wizards of the Coast (WOTC), which is the company responsible for creating Magic The Gathering. From time to time they make crossover cards to promote D&D, like the ones you've seen, but officially there is no connection between these two franchises lore-wise.

You were smart right, it's just nothing new :)
That's why i now want a Larian game based on the Middle Earth franchise based on WOTC MTG Tales of Middle Earth :D
But that's my obsession with dwarfs quests inside mines i guess :)

To be fair, the crossovers have run in both directions with things like Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica in DnD. You can also interpret that if you go full starjammer campaign and leave the Faerun universe you could end up in the MTG worlds. But as far as I am aware there is no canonical connection

They did a 40k set of cards for magic as well.
