Owl bear cub Spoilers

during one long rest the owl bear cub came back to camp wounded , i tried to heal it but i failed and it left in a bloody mess, does this mean he wont be coming back ?

Nah. I couldn't heal ii either, Although i did have speak with animals active so i could tell it that it twas but a scratch. It was fine with that.

I was surprised it didn't give the option for my bard to use healing magic on it.

atleast it showed up for you i told mine he could come to camp after i rescued him and it never showed up looked every where and then when the party happend the dialog of the party goers mentioned an owlbear hanging around the camp...but still it was no where to be seen this was way befor patch 1 and 2

pretty sure that once you're in the shadowlands you missed out.
If it makes you feel any better, he doesn't add much of anything.

i figure if i use find familiar in combat it would summon the cub instead of the dog or give u options

I dont remember what act i was on when the lil bugger showed up he did show up though at the end of a chapter or beginning of the next chapter.

He grows up and can fight for you in the final fight if you call for him.
Also he's pretty cool looking in Armor from Dammon at the end.

I thought it was really odd that in the final fight suddenly the owl-bear was all grown up and armored. In the rest right before that he was totally still a cub. I suspect there was some content around the owl-bear that was cut.
