Actually, I do, and the scene where you find out her real name is pretty consequential to her character arc. You'd have to finish the game, or at least her story. But, I'm not trying to convince you of anything.
(It's actually on her BG3 Wiki page, so you could find it out before, but just saying.)
Agreed. Look for all the folks who rant about the sex scenes:
a) they had to keep the ratings at M in the U.S. and equivalent in other countries
b) the scenes have to work with a Tav/partner who is either male or female, they weren't going to render them twice.
Seriously, I'm totally in agreement on this point: if you're looking for porn, you're going to be disappointed. Better stuff on late night Cinemax. And I'm even talking about the stuff done with 3D models, let alone real people.
All in all, if you really want better rendered sex between character models in this game, you're gonna need BG3 Sex Framework, and make it yourself. And humans being human, I expect a lot of output there eventually (LOL).
It really isn't, as sex scenes probably in total add up to - what? - at most? - 30 min (that's probably the added runtime of ALL of them) - when the game can run for - what? oftten? - 200hrs or more? It's so much NOT a main focus of the game - honestly.
I think it has a complex story, and the sex scenes are sort of a side component to it, hardly detracting from it. The Sopranos is not exactly what I'd compare it to, of course. But it's a very typical kind of high fantasy arc, with some dark fantasy notes to it. Not all endings for Tav or companions are happily ever after.
I don't! :)
Cool.
1. The kobolds sexually gratifying each other book
2. Xan dies by 'pleasuring' himself with his own blade
3. There's a scene where a bear fornicates with a human, unheard of in any other art format
4. Latest patch emphasised 'kissing'???
5. All companions are bisexual - and can't respond platonically to compliments - as your friends would. They see it as a 'come on'
6. Even an illithid tries to hit on you
7. The 'sex and mutaltion' whip guy in the goblin area Act 1
Their whole marketing was 'you'll have sex sex sex with ANYTHING'.
I disagree. Act 1 had no story, and was ironically the best act. Act 2 had a rushed derivative 'bad guys attacking fantasy city' story.
Act 3 did a Star Wars Palpatine on Sarevok, among many other terrible, terrible ideas.
Anyway.
IMO, they are clueless.
Good graphics. Good combat. Good level design.
People upvote it because of all that.
I don't care anyway.
I make my own games.
Never saw either of those things in several playthroughs. Shrug? (Are those in books or something?)
Never saw it personally, but since it's on youtube and I've read about it -- no human on bear sex is ever shown, and it appears to be a joke scene riffing on jokes about druids in D & D going back decades.
Kissing is sex? I mean it can lead to it, but ... ?
They are all playersexual. Design choice. So often discussed in so many other threads.
I think that scene is in there to expose him as a manipulator. He's just throwing in seduction as a manipulation technique.
Never saw it. In fact, I'm not even sure what you're talking about.
Never saw any marketing emphasizing that. I do think they did mention that romances would be open to all players.
Dunno, seems to be another situation of you looking for this stuff, as so much of it I never saw - and again - several playthroughs. So. Shrug?
Yeah - I DID stumble in on some gross bugbear on ogre sex, 10 seconds of it, and once I knew which barn in Blighted Village to avoid - never again. (Surprised you didn't mention THAT. But it's hardly supposed to be sexually APPEALING.)
No point in arguing about the rest of the story. Comes down to the perennial issue of subjective perspective. We aren't going to convince each other. But this idea that the rest of the story suffers because of a focus on sex - almost seems to me you are more focused on finding it in the game than the writers were on putting it.
Deja vu. Someone already told you about this in another post-lifetime.
Yeah, Act 2 monastery with the kobolds. Kill them and read the book they drop. Larian describe in detail how they 'gratify' each other.
I'm signing out dude at this point.
I find them crass and sex-obssessed - you think otherwise.
Cool, let's go our separate ways mate.
Human beings tend to care about, notice, focus on, emphasize, think about, and experience things differently. Yep, don't think so.
(On the other hand - yes - DID try all 4 female romances. Not necessarily with male Tav characters, though.)
A joy about being human. Have a happy Valentine's day.
Dude! No.
Save that line for your wife.
I’m a straight guy calling this game woke-land-io.
Happy Crimbos I’m down with, but V-day – nope pal. I’d encourage ya to delete that
comment.
I’m not trying to insult ya, just havin’ ya back dude. You don’t want that hanging around mate…
Already told my GF. (We're celebrating later this weekend. She's gotta work.)
It's a nice holiday celebrating all kinds of love, to be enjoyed by people in and out of all kinds of relationships. Kids can give other kids they are pals with little candy hearts. It's all sweet and innocent.
OK. Fine. It's mostly there to make the candy, flower, wine, greeting card, and other companies lots of money. Still, the sentiment is nice. All kinds of human love are good, even brotherly love for your fellow man. Greeks called that "agape". So no, I'm not taking it back.
Wow, Jim. You should make your own game and really show Larian how Game of the Year should work. I'm sure that they'd appreciate that. We all know awards shows are too "woke" for you though so don't strain yourself.
Hmmmm those wet tentacles schlip schop schlep on your PP
