Stuck on Act 2 end, need help (spoilers)

At the end of act 2, you defeat Kethric in the mind flayer colony. It then says to loot him for his stone. When I go to loot him it gives me the stone in my inventory, and his loot. However, the journal still says get his stone. I also can't find a way to leave.

After searching for answers and finding none, I saw on youtube in a play through there was supposed to be a cut scene to get the stone (mine just popped up an "item received dialog box) and a portal opens up, but alas... no cut scene, no portal. I cant go back to camp, cant get out of the colony as far as I can tell. No portal. The winged NPC just says "We fly on your word" and that is all. I reloaded back a ways, played it all again, same results.

I saw posts from previous patches to pass the stone around between players, send it to camp, drop it and pick it up, etc... none of those worked.

It is the main quest line, and I am stuck in the colony now. Not sure what else I can do. I am wondering if there is a way to glitch out of the colony and then walk to something that will trigger act 3? Will that mess up the story? Is that end cut scene important? (I'd imagine it would be). I have the stone, so I am not worried about that part. Just not sure what else I can do?

Over a week with no replies to my ticket, no way out. Started a second playthrough... Sucks that I'm never going to see the 3rd act with my primary character.

Have you tried interacting with his corpse again? How about exploring the area?

Yes. I've interacted with the body. I even picked up the body and dropped it, then tried again. Exploring I found nothing. According to the vids I've seen a portal was supposed to open, but nothing there. I've been reading posts about using myst step to glitch out in other places but I don't think I can get my whole party out if I do that?

Does putting the stone back on the corpse, saving, then loading and picking the stone again not work as well?

Sounds like a bug. I would probably load a save before you kill him and do it again.

Correct, I reloaded and tried a few times with the same result. I've tried everything I can think of for hours. If it were any other spot in the game I could just move along, but I can't even go to camp from here. It needs an emergency exit. LOL.

Update for anyone else who runs into this in the future... I read in other posts about a way to glitch out of the area using mist step. That worked, and I am continuing on finally. I have no idea what (if any) story I missed or if this will screw me over in the later game, but alas... at least I am not stuck now. So, if you are stuck in the area, the mist step trick still works.

Can you actually progress to Act 3? I'm not sure what is the trigger to make Ketheric Thorm's army move* and allow the party to reach the city.
*If the army is still there, the party gets thrown into the Oubliette.

So I just ran into this issue too. I got out of it by sending the stone from my inventory to camp and then kicking on the portal. Super weird bug.
