No Dice Rolls in Dialogue bug after Patch #2 - Fix

Possible fix for this issue if you use mods and "mod fixers":

Was having this issue just now after updating to the new patch - cutscenes where a dice roll (like persuasion check) would hang. Looked around and saw a suggestion to replace "Full Release Mod Fixer" with "Baldur's Gate 3 Mod Fixer". Browsed comments about that on Nexus and saw a few posts mentioning Larian applied a stealth update so these "mod fixers" were no longer needed.

I removed the mod fixer .pak file from my base mods directory (without removing any of the mods I use) and loaded the game: Mods all active and normal, dice rolls in dialogues are now functioning again.

This worked for me, hopefully it helps others!

i get a spooky message after disabling my improvedui and mod fixer mods, something about an incomplete story, do we know what this means or is it just something to be ignored? My game works now but the idea of an 'incomplete story' is a but scary to me

yeh actual mods with patch 2 are even causing the karlach ending cutscene not to trigger
so mods might be the main reason why things are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up in peoples games.

When i remove the mod fixer i cant interact and talk to characters/objects at all. The only mods i have are for character creation, nothing for the ingame gameplay :/
Only the mod for more hairstyles and the one for more face options hmm

Removing/deactivating or deleting? I tried deactivating both, but it made no difference. Now im thinking about deleting them if that would help

You have to delete the files or remove them from the mods folder. Some mods actively rewrite some of the game files (usually highlighted in yellow in the mod manager), and they cannot truly be "disabled" without deleting them, or at least removing them from the mods folder.
If using the BG3 mod manager, you can right click them and it will give you the option to delete them.

i have uninstalled the ui mod plus the mod fixer and it worked but now i have some textures missing
