Need help with optimal in-game settings
Hi everyone. I could use some advice on what in-game settings I should have (graphics-wise). I have a rather old system: i5-6600, msi gtx 1060 6gb vram, and 16gb RAM. Would appreciate what in-game settings I should have inorder to optimize the game's performance. Thanks for reading and cheers! :)

I have a fairly recent system but I run everything at its absolute lowest, there's an auto detect option you can use to see what the game thinks you should use and then just tweak it from there.

with 6gb, ram you will probably want to turn down texture and model quality - test the different settings and see what helps.

Definitely turn off ambient occlusion, and lower shadow quality and fog quality.

If your gpu supports DLSS, it will provide a significant performance boost.

Finally, you may want to test if performance changes significantly when selecting DX11 or Vulkan in the launcher.

The steam overlay has a setting to display fps which will help you. Good luck!

The game should run fine on this system on low with DLSS, low/medium textures, and screen-sized resolution.

Though, if you installed on HDD, some cut-scenes will look odd (models and textures not loading on time). Also, the number of auto- and quick-saves might need adjustment.

Edit. Cannot comment on the performance in the last Act. Haven't played on the current patch.

At 1080p at max setting, most of the time the game uses between 4 and 5 gb VRAM so, running everything on High textures will be fine.

For the rest you can check this videos 12:20 mark:

Unfortunately, my gfx card does not support DLSS. Would I benefit using FSR?

It should help, though, according to this guide* FSR 1.0 looks slightly worse than DLSS.

Launcher option: DirectX 11
Model quality: Low
Texture filtering: Trilinear
Shadow quality: Low
Fog quality: Low
Ambient occlusion: Off
Everything else: Ultra preset equivalents
Could try to start with these settings and see how it performs.
