You need two mithral ore - they are obtained from destroying some blue rocks there is one slightly east and one slightly west of the Ancient Forge waypoint. Put a mould in the mould chamber and put the ore in the crucible, use the wheel to fill the forge with lava and then the lever to drop the hammer, that will complete one mould. You can make two items, the armor and shield are by far the best choices. You have to fight a guardian construct - it can only take damage when it has "superheated" status that lasts 2 turns, it gets this from touching the lava. Construct will "chase" the last character to hit it with any attack, so you treat it like a puzzle. Lead it to the hammer in the center of the forge by hitting it with an attack from all the way across the forge (with the center hammer in between your attacker on the golem, so that the golem is waiting on the hammer strike zone when his movespeed runs out chasing that person down) and pulling the lever when you get the golem into the right place. If you are struggling to use the hammer and position correctly then you need to use bludgeoning weapons and again only attack when golem is superheated.

you'll need to find mithral ore. there's a vein near the amulet area with the lava elemental and one north of the forge across the lava . then once you've used the adamantine forge with that and a mould the boss fight triggers.

It's not that hard, the platform for the forge is kind of designed to make it easy. It has an outer ring with four platforms that the lava doesn't reach, so you can separate your party and stand along the outer ring using ranged attacks to lead the golem in whatever direction you want. You need to maximize your accuracy, because only confirming a hit against the golem matters to control its movement it's okay if it even does 0 damage. Shadowheart sacred flame has a good chance to hit it, eldritch blast, magic missile obviously, precision strike if you have the battlemaster maneuver for it. The hammer drops in the center of the arena in a large circle, so basically you are all spread out on the outer ring and just try to get him into the middle of the arena - pull the lever. Keep one party member next to lever and one next to the lava wheel to refill the arena with lava if it runs out (needed to make Golem "superheated")
