[SPOILERS] Who else loves Dame Aylin?

I often see people complain about her, so here's a Dame Aylin appreciation thread!

I honestly love her over-the-top attitude, the way she just goes "Yeah, that's very nice and all, but now I'm gonna go ♥♥♥♥ my girlfriend", and the fact that she doesn't take ♥♥♥♥ from Lorroakan (but still feels bad that she just killed someone who was no longer a threat to her). Just to name a few things.

Seems too fallen aasimar to me, I give her to Lorroakan most playthroughs since it looks like she's slowly becoming a fallen aasimar.

In my 2nd playthrough she took crap from Lorroakan : he clapped her in chains once more and became immortal. Isobel rushed off to save her but i never saw her again. What you get in return isn't worth it i think though.

And all because i didn't want Minthara to disapprove of my dialog when confronting him lol.

But both Aylin and Isobel irritated me a lot. I wonder why i didnt give in to the Urge to kill Isobel much earlier. If there ever would be a BG4 i would see it coming Isobel will start a dark cult that would put that of her father to shame, so i probably should have killed her.

Sorry, but this character is outright disgusting, especially on a route where Isobel survives. Don't get me wrong, some people enjoy crass, self-obsessed and violent characters like this one, make such character a drow or some thug and it would be alright, it would be in its place. Instead, they made it a celestial with immortality on top of that.

Yes, I wouldn't bother to hate this character if devs wouldn't so fiercely be shoving her down our throats every possible moment. Strongest plot armor aside, they made all npcs around (even evil ones) brainlessly adore this thing, and strongly disapprove wherever you dare to act against her. And there aren't a lot of options to do it, even -- all dialogues with Nightsong consist of multiple options of licking her butt.

The romance scene with Isobel is repulsive in itself. In it, I don't see actual lesbians, I see a fanservice for futa lovers, since Nightsong is an archetypical futa powerfantasy, not a celestial being with any bit of crediblity to it.

It was fine, until the forced out of nowhere romance with Isobel, it was kinda cringe and out of place at that point of the story. It would have been much better without that sidetrack.

if the rest of her fall into darkness was included, her story might move me. Being used as a battery for a century only to be doomed by your own circumstances would be kind of poetic.

As she is, she's an obnoxious caricature, and sadly we have to save her or innocents (and shadowheart) will suffer.

I honestly thought after talking with Isobel that Aylin had charmed her and seeing her temper and possessiveness thought she was going to have actually been responsible in someway for Isobel's death, which would make Kethrics turn to Shar much more compelling, alas instead we got what we got

The boring paladin player on the tabletop who is constantly honest, straightforward and fights evil.

i hate her so much that she'll be dead every time moving forward, saving her was the biggest regret i made in game

I liked her. The romance thing came out of the blue but in general she is fine. To be honest I wished there was more story to her situation but oh well, it is a side character only.

Another unfortunate character that got gutted. In Lorroakan quest you can see how she's already on the path to become a fallen aasimar, and then it actually leads nowhere. That's a pity, I liked her character and would love to see more.

Sorry, i don't like most of do goodie paladins... i'm more of an merciless paladin of vengence who will sever a hand of a thief for stealing and basically just waits for someone to do some ♥♥♥♥ so he can go bollocks. Basically lawful neutral... it's too hard to make a good story and motivation for lawful good.
