And it's not 'important' to kill him, but you get a fire greatsword that's really useful early game
So I could just use the Drop weapons command from the clerc and steal it then. Thx
Important to note, though, that if the mind flayer turns hostile when the Commander dies, and unlike his opponent, the mind flayer gets attacks of opportunity which will easily down your lowbies. Plan accordingly.
Did it first try on balanced. Must of got lucky? Healed the Mind Flayer, he wrecked the commander every hit. Commander missed every turn!
How exactly do you throw them at him, I'm a bit loss with so many options and buttons to click lol.
If you want to kill him you can just wail on him every turn after you clean up the trash (on both ends of the room), if you don't kill him by the time the cambions reach the mind flayer you just bail (it's easier to kill him if you use command : drop on him since the mind flayer will live longer). You can use the nautiloid tanks to blow him up but that's usually risky since it's hard to judge how much damage they will do.
Personally I just wipe the room, command drop him, then wail on him until he dies and leave the moment he does die.
