Anything around the lava elemental? [spoiler[

Besides the amulet in the chest, is there anything else around there?

I see what looks like the entrance to the temple of shar or something, is there a way to get there from the Grymforge? If not I think I've done it all and I'ma move on to the Mountain Pass.

Not really, the only thing that was guarded there was an amulet with a torture soul inside. The quest ended in a disappointment conclusion

there was this skeleton under the platform that i could never work out how to loot.
tried mage hand and some other things nothing seemed to be able to path to it

there is a magical halberd on the firey ground across the lava lake from where you enter the area. the only way to get it without burning yourself is to use mage hand or telekinesis to toss it onto a less hot area. it's only an uncommon halberd, but it's there. as you face the platform where the necklace is, look left across the fire lake. it's sitting next to the far wall.

yeah that too on the small platforms surrounding the walls of the room theres a few green polearms but they arent great

junk. One of the skeletons has the key to the chest and the rest is mostly trash, unless you want that junk weapon for gale or vendor trash. By this time, its nothing interesting.
