Long Rest
What are the mechanics for this, exactly? I read somewhere it takes 40 camp supplies to long rest. Is it 10 per party member? Does it take the supplies directly from the camp chest? Does each party member need to have supplies in their own inventory?

I'm just confused now, since it seemed that it had been taking whatever supplies were needed automatically, but now every time I try to long rest it's saying not enough and it won't refresh full HP and short rests, even though the party leader has 60+ in inventory and the camp box has hundreds.

It takes it from wherever they are, you can dump them all in the camp chest so you dont use carry weight for them.

If you are playing on Tactician mode it is 80 per long rest.

its 40 regardless of party members, think 80 on tactician
it can pull straight from the chest
only 1 person needs the supplies, just make sure the person who has the supplies in the one who triggers the sleep
you need to hit the auto button or select 40 units yourself

40 for Balanced, 80 for Tactician.

From my experience, if you click inventory, top right tells you how much you have. That said, I store most of mine in the infinite chest to save on weight. When I do that, the top right number lowered, so I assume it only counts what's on me. I thought that until I long rested, and saw that it gave me the option of what to use for resources, and it gives me much more food than I have in inventory, so I assume it takes under account what you have stored.
It may be per party member, but it was that amount even if I had fewer in my active party.

It's not just your current party resting, it's everyone at your camp, afterall.
When you say 60+, you mean item value, or number of food items? Either way, that should be enough, and I can't think of why it wouldn't let you. I click on auto select food, so I never had an issue that matches what you're describing.

Depends on the Difficulty Level for how many supplies it needs. I know Story Mode (easy) is 40 .. and Tactician (hard) is 80. Not sure if Normal has a different amount,

When you take a long rest it will pull from your personal inventory and from the camp supply chest. Better to use manual choice than to use the game auto-pulling since it will pull more than it needs usually.

While adventuring just every time you find food or alcohol that can be used click to send it to camp so it does not weigh you down and it is ready to go there when you decide to camp.

Also there is no penalty for resting a lot, and is probably better to rest often since there are dialogues in camp that need to trigger. Especially if something you do is related to a companion you will want to chat with them in camp even if they do not have an exclamation over their head.

If your mini map is red (trespassing or a major story dungeon) you can't long rest either.

But there are long rest potions you can get that knock out one character for like 20 seconds or 2 turns while giving them a long rest there.

I was in camp, with the total value of supplies in inventory totaling 68 and the total value in the traveler's chest totaling in the hundreds.

But I just tried it again, and it worked this time. Maybe some random glitch.
