Modded and unmodded playthrough
Is there a way that I can separate playthroughs? I have a modded singleplayer playthrough and a unmodded co-op playthrough. I cant play the unmodded co-op game without manually reversing all the mods. Is there an easier way to to do this?

Not sure because I haven't starting modding yet. But mod manager is supposed to be able to quickly turn mods on and off.

Yes, shouldn't be a a problem. At least it hasn't been for me. I play a co-op campaign with Party Limit Begone that every player has installed so we can sometimes play as 5 or leave a players character behind at camp if we are less than 4, and get an origin character in the party.

In single-player I'm playing with many mods, the BG3 mod manager is very easy to handle however. You can simply drag all your active mods from the load order to be unactivated, even if the files are in your physical mod folder. Then simply export mod order to game and you are good go. I've had no bugs whatsoever, I'm also the host of the multiplayer game and it's only the Party Limit Begone mod that we all have installed.

I've tried Vortex the mod manager from Nexus Mods since certain mods advise using that instead of a manual installation. But after installation of the mods whatever I do like disabling or even uninstalling them. It keeps throwing this Gustavdev error at me when I want to play vanilla again with my friends.

Thankfully Baldurs Gate 3 own launcher has an option to show altered files. This shows what files are changed and where they can be found. I still have to manually delete those files like I had do to before with the manual installation.

Ill try the BG3ModManager from LaughingLeader this time. If that doesn't work I might have to use virtualization or a different Windows installation altogether.

This sounds great. No modloader required and I am able to seperate the playthroughs cleanly. And without the hassle of virtualization of a windows different installation.

However this also removes steam. Are you still able to get achievements this way?

Unfortunately no.
I have thought of different ways to get both - achievements and clean separation. But due to how Steam achievements works, it would always turn back into "as much a hassle as before".

I settle it with: if you want achievements, you have to deal with mods every update and rely on the mod authors to provide updates as fast as possible. Only when you are good without achievements you can go on with whatever version you want to play.

No way around that.

Hey what about for mods in the Override section of BG3 mod manager? How do we disable those momentarily without uninstalling

I love mods. They're great for accessibility features the devs didn't put in! I've been needing to use the UI mod that allows the search feature to be toggled on and off rather than pressing down the right stick and holding it in. That's too painful for me to do. It should be an option in the base game, but it's not.
