Is Gale very important throughout the story?
I was heading to Act 2 when I figured out how to find Gale, but now Im considering loading a previous save. The truth is, I was sad that I lost two magic items in a short time (and I spent all the gold to get an item for him).
Don't get me wrong, I like Gale's personality, but I don't want to spend a lot of magic items. Or can I leave it at camp? Won't there be a problem if he runs out of magic item?

you only need to give him a few, it'll stop soon enough

ps buy stuff from trader and then steal the money back if you're low on cash

Yes at max 3 is the number of magic items you need to give. If you were not playing with bard there are useless bard items you can find and give. Or cheap magic items to buy and give.
He is as important to the plot as Shadowheart, Laezel in my opinion.
And then go to the mountain pass . There you will meet someone who will help with Gale problem.

I don't know, i started the game over and left him in the void, killed Astarion and ignored Wyll and i've found the game 100% more enjoyable without all the harassment.

Of course he's important, I would even say he's the hero, and when I say hero I mean like Balduran.
He just sacrifices himself and kills all the villains, the crown and the megabrain. Only because of such selfless and desperate people does this universe exist

There is a lot of junk items to feed him you wont need, A LOT. He isn't crucial to the story in any way however.

The only 2 companions that have a "bigger" impact on the story are Lae'zel and Shadowheart, but only in certain sections.

Except he doesn't unless you either A)Play as him or B)Have him in your party at the every end.

You save the world regardless.

No idea, I skip his introductions on every playthrough cause of his transgressions on my first playthrough.

no almost all Origins ain't important trough out your game but they do add flavor.
Origins are the most fun to play they have special events for example you meet your cat Gale talks about "and she is absolute awsome"

And even if you have him with you at the end, and despite the fact he has a very good idea and solution to solve a decision you need to make, the game won't let you use him to avoid it. xD

He's not in my game world. Very annoying char with his ramblings and demands.

I hope not.
Have im parked in the camp since a long time.
Decided to skill Karlah in magic.

I feed him those magic items this is not a problem just loot everything everywhere and you should get enough trahs items for him. So far he wanted 3 or 4 such.

Now he is glowing blue and want to show me something and since i read "show you magic" is the gay trigger I ignore him.
No idea if show something and blue glowing isn't the gay trigger and there will be an actual "show magic" one comming.. but honestly I wonder why do I even have to be careful not to trigger the gayness in this game?
That is so wrong..make it obvious so we can avoid it or not at all.
best would be an option at start to disable/enable the preferences one wants when it comes to adult content..

in short: I don't think he is important but then i am still only in act II middle part.

A Gnome Illusionist would be more important.

You do know you can just decline the magic and it's over right?

Sheesh. You're more riled up over a quick no thanks than is necessary. This is like if a straight woman avoided Lae'zel because she's the first to blatantly hit on you. Just say no and move on.
Runic Tunic Aug 30, 2023 @ 5:33am
On Topic: He's about as important as everyone else. All play their role and have some big side stories (mostly anyway). SH is probably one of the biggest just because she's so heavily tied to one of the areas, but it won't ruin your run not having her anymore than not having Gale. You might just miss some context and additional side stuff.

I did exatcly that. And the next rest he was glowing blue again.
I do not know what the trigger is I only read there is one and I don't want to trigger his gayness. There are enough gy couples in the game already you can't avoid meeting anyway no trouble with that but one hittin gon me this I don't like at all.
