Save Shadowheart from eviil.
As much as I try to avoid spoilers, including titles of YouTube videos about BG3, I discovered that it's possible to make Shadowheart abandon the goddess Shar in act 2 (a good spoiler, actually, I didn't want her to follow that path). I'm in the temple under the dark forest of Act 2 now. I didn't let Shadowheart offer her blood to 2 altars, made a demon commit suicide (but couldn't convince Astarion to refuse the demon Raphael's "favour") and now I found a necromancer called Balthazar, who I'm certainly going to kill. But what else should I do to make sure she'll abandon Shar?

I had her offer blood at every altar and got her to abandon Shar. I think all you have to do is have the spear in her inventory and pass the dialogue check, as long as you don't get a bug it should work.

I did nothing. Shadowheart abandoned Shar on her own after I failed dialogue check.

I wish that happened to me. I was already in a relationship with her and she said she'd step over my corpse if she had to, then turned on me. I'm betting i messed up somewhere, but still lmao

If you had good choices in quests before (and maybe have given her flower to restore some memory) she can choose the good path herself

Basically if you do good stuff companions become better and when you do evil stuff companions become more evil.

I don't know if consuming tadpoles impact that, but from narrative point of view, it should impact at least a few companions.

Just finish the dungeon and don't worry about offering blood to the altars and find the spear.

You are wrong, she can offer her blood, it doesn't matter, then only main thing which matters, if you kill or not the Nightsong. That is the main choice if she will be accepted by Shar or she turns against her.
