2 days in and I am still at the start there's so many sidequest I'm kinda perfectionist player so I want to see everything. will I miss some big stuff if I skip them and just focus on main quest?

i completed most of the side quests while playing if not all of the ones that were available to me, some of them help explain why certain "origin" characters are in the state that they're in, but otherwise, you can skip most of them and I personally didnt feel i missed anything tremendous.....the problem i had and its more of a personal issue then mechanical or otherwise, was that i got to max level and still had like 3/4 of act 3 to go through....being i couldn't level any more i ended up skipping most of act 3 just to get to the end of the game, i hate wasting my time running around just for the stories sake....i want the XP i gain to actually do something and not just be a fart in the wind lol

The problem is not too many side quests...its too many inconsequential garbo side quests///

Play the game and find out if helping or ignoring someone comes to bite your ass later or not. :Excella:

I'm trying to remember a side quest in the beginning that didn't affect something later...

A lot of stuff in Act 1 actually comes around in future Acts, especially Act 3 when you can start getting very rare and legendary equipment from those quests finally ending.

if you don't want to do the side quests, don't do them. or pick and choose the ones that seem interesting to you. the fun of the game is making choices and living with the consequences. you can always do something different on another run.

Enjoy the game for what it is, and take your time with it. Why are you in a rush to finish it? It took me 2 weeks to finish my first playthrough.

You'll miss things no matter what you do. Some quests simply won't appear depending on your choices.

Rush? Probably the starfield preload has them a little anxious.

Since when are side quests a bad thing?

I ended up just burning through my playthrough quickly to beat the game, will be trying again in a lesser difficulty to do a story mode type thing and maybe not lose so many rolls.

My advice: Play the game for what it is. A role playing game. Choose a character, play that character. Not you, but the character. Sure, maybe to see everything you have to do several playthroughs. If you ask me, totally worth it.

A lot of what you do will have an impact on what happens in later acts, and ultimately, determine what allies you have in the final boss fight.
