So on this character i havent gone to the creche yet, and am about to descend into a certain shadowy place that warns you "certain quests may become unavailable". Can i keep going or do i have to go get my mace and my dex gloves before i continue

This warning tells you only that the Grove/Goblin quest will come to a conclusion without you if you go on. Only at the end of act 2 you will be barred from coming back.

Hm. Im referring to the sharran inner sanctum, im fairly sure the goblins are content now, being slaughtered as is the custom

You can still go back to the creche if you continue. You can NOT go back if you start act 3 tho. So dont go beyond that if you want to do the creche.
