Gale has Mystra's blessing or some such, not powerful but not nothing either
Shadowheart has the quest spear and nice-looking tits

Well, right off the bat when you get her, she has access to that soul branding ability, castable every turn as a bonus action that gives bonus fire damage and movement speed, so its a pretty nice feature that I'm always using on her almost every turn.

I frankly don't know if she has any special abilities aside from what another revenge Paladin would get.

But she was ( finished my 2nd play through ) the strongest party member of them all, often being the last one standing in extreme difficult boss fights. Not only the tankiest despite having no shield but a blue quality 2H warhammer but also the most hard hitting of them all.

This picture ( Slaying the Wyrm Dragon practically herself while the rest of the team is typically wiped ) is a testament to that. She was the greatest during my 2nd playthrough. I will miss the option NOT having to choose between her and Halsin ( i had both but the patch... ) with the comment i barely used Halsin as the Druid bear was not comparable to what that Paladin could do.

Who needs 4 strikes from a fighter or a single use 6th level 100+ dps spell when a Paladin can take off 1/3 of the health of any boss with an obliterating smite and can do that every round again, and this while surviving things that bring down all the other classes.
