Why is halsin a companion?
I think he makes a great and interesting character but he feels really out of place? I think he should have stayed a support npc, especially since we get another Druid in the same act.

The only time I spoke to him he wanted to have sex with me, so I just ignored him the rest of the game.

He is a cheap bear secks marketing ploy that was required for click bait. Evidenced by his story being non-existent in Act 3.

And in my play through I got creepily propositioned by him twice, one time on the same night I had the Shadowheart love scene. Yuck.

That's pretty much all he has besides his quest line which ends before he actually joins you. Go figure

I try to be bros with him but the only options are
1” I wanna get to know you better” which I’m guessing is flirting due to my experience with gale and
2: wanna talk about curing the blight shadow lands and repeat dialogue?

it is annoying that we get 2 druids and no bards, i had to reroll shadowheart to bard because of this

He is super out of place. You get him around the time you are about to go to the gauntlet of Shar and as soon as you finish it you get another Druid in Jaheira. Also hasin has no content or quests in act 3 while jaheira has a lot so no point taking him when you have her.

They probably put him there just to have yet another gay option for romance .

Would have made a lot more sense if we could have Alfira as companion instead , she is a bard giving the party another useful support , has a very cheerful personality to contest Laezel and Shadowheart , and would be an actual competition for romance vs Shadowheart .

Halsin should have just stayed behind after act 2 to help cure the land and take care of the kid and leave it at that.

Cause in Early access when he was revealed a lot of people got horny for him. So they cut out a character called Helia which was far more interesting to put him in the game to serve as nothing but eye candy for some people.

Exactly, if they just wanted to market him for bear sex at least give him something to do in act 3 OR don’t let us recruit him.

Yea like if you play Durge you kill her and get Halsin/ Minthara , but if you play custom you get Alfira instead of Halsin/ Minthara . Would make for some variety

His plot arc was resolved in act 2 one way or another. The whole reason he can join you is because he fulfilled his main goal.

There is also a way NOT to kill her even as playing as Durge btw.

Problem with Alfira is that they would need to come with whole story for her, because currently she has even less than Halsin. So it's actually impossible to make a difference, you just change the flavor of your camp sex bot.

What would work is Barcus Wroot, he already has a conflict in game, to resolve this conflict you have to go to Baldurs Gates. It would fit perfectly.

We would watch as the cheerful happy tiefling bard slowly succumbs to depression seeing her people slowly die on their path to Baldurs gate. Maybe she can be apart of the circus
