this is in many video games, the witcher 3 fixed it with NVIDIA HairWorks

I mean, thats the current engine hair, you can go on Nexus mod and find mods that add new hairstyles, better quality hairstiles and all of that.
But most of the time its just game engine capped.

You want hair physics like in witcher 3, that will load your GPU +40% more, then you need to wait for baldur gate 4

Oh is this how it's supposed to look?? I thought this was a bug??

Its because Larian didn't check if all the hairs actually properly snap with the big body type.

Changing face fixes some of the hairstyles on big body type. But if you want all hairstyles to not clip you gotta pick small body type.

Its just not tested enough. Larian might fix it in the future.

no it is not

Hair is clipping because of big body type. Its not a bug but its just not adjusted.

The clipping I can deal with, it's the textures, it's so patchy and weirdly coloured.

Pretty sure it's not supposed to look like this regardless of body size:

Yeah some of the hair styles you picked seems to show no problem for me regardless of body type. So it looks like its somehow on your end.

However do keep in mind some hairs look patchy because they clip with the bigger head.

i was more offended that like 80% of the hairstyles were female, when i was making a male character.
And they accurately mix them, not categories for "female" or "male" haircut.

Are any of your settings noticeably different to mine? I have everything on Ultra.

I wouldn't have an issue with that if they actually re-adjusted them for all types of bodies and races but there is a lot of clipping issues.

Also ther is no buzzcut in the game. Who the ♥♥♥♥ gives player option to choose hairstyle and not add buzzcut?

Its like serving icecream but without the icecream lol.

Btw i think i know whats happening with your game.

Normally when you zoom out from your character in the game, some parts of certain haristyles disappear the exact ones you show on your screenshots actually.

Its basicly a LOD thing. But i really don't understand why it looks like this in your character creation.

I found this post that said it's the DLSS:
https://www.reddit.com/r/BaldursGate3/comments/v3byv7/is_there_a_fix_for_the_hair_and_beard_why_does_it/

The problem is that I don't even have DLSS as an option under the Anti-Alias thing.
It says to use FXAA, but I don't see an option for that either. Ughhh.

Did you manage to resolve the problem?
