Any way to get Minthara without Tieflings dying?
So me any my pal want to go a second playthrough soon.
He as Dark Urge focusing on Minthara, me as female druid circle of spores focusing astarion.

Thing is, Minthara can be only gained by killing the grove or ignoring it alltogether.

Now, I couldn't care less about the druids, but tieflings have quite a lot of content in them - Zevlor, Alfira (tho when you have Dark Urge in the camp it doesnt matter lol), Roland, Dammon etc.

Isn't there a way of a compromise? Let Tieflings go and slaughter only druids? Or something similiar.

You just dont do the quest. Ignore the goblin camp and druid grove conflict and go to Moonrise towers. Minthara will be there.
But you lose out on halsin. EXP, loot and the victory party (Character development moment).

No. Even in pre patch if you recruit Minthara or go to act 1.5 / 2 without doing assault of the grove the tieflings died. The upside was you could have all companions. Now Halsin and Minthara are exclusive to each other. And be prepared all the tiefling quests and Karlach companion quest to never be completed.

It should be possible to convince Kagha to help the tieflings.

So it is possible to get the tieflings at last light in and still get Minthara?

Maaan, that's a bummer, I guess the grove is dying then. As much I liked the characters, we want to try new stuff. I just hope it's worth the slaughter.

Not to be too spoilery, it's not.

No. Not killing the Goblin leaders will result in multiple consequences. There will be no Tieflings at Last Light Inn. This also includes any other sidequest involving Tieflings (Arabella, Roland) - they don't exist then. You are also not able to buy items from the smith (as he is not there as well) and you can't progress Karlachs quest.

I'm kind of disappointed with the lack of carry over in Act 2 from siding with the Goblins. There is way more content tied to the Tiefflings.

I would advise waiting for definitive edition for Minthara and Karlach content. Because those are need content the most out of all companions.

I wouldn't be so sure about Minthara here - the devs might very well hold on their borked "there must be an exclusive companion" vision.

Karlach has better chances of getting an improvement.

Because with Minthara is the most bare bones companion. So Ive heard. And you pay through the noise to have her if you go for the intended route. Wyll, Halsin and maybe Jaheira/Karlach. And all the tiefling quests you loose. I don't realy want equality but what it was fleshed for the Minthara side it is not even bare bones.
And her cut content a lot more substantial.

Minthara's cut content is indeed a bummer, I hope it gets re-implemented.

As for Karlach, I would absolutely love for her to get a better ending. Seems it was tied to Upper city that was cut.

Majority of issues could be fixed with re-adding Upper city. I think that was supposed to be a bigger chunk of act 3. Cutting it probably let to pacing issues and other cut content stuff.

Here's hoping.
