How to save all the victims in the witch's house in Baldur's gate 3?
So question is next: is there any chance to save those poor victims of our dear witch Auntie Ethel? Those can be found straightly after you pass the house of the
witch and that fireplace . One man is just petrified/stoned, another prey is just without head, third is inside the mirror 🪞, forth is constantly foreseeing his future.
Is there any chance I can save those people?
Thanks in advance 🙌

In other words, dont make deals with hags. Kill em.
Really...that kinda janky logic then, since the disease is known to have no cure and a disease being a disease it would normally be assumed it would require an action to be cured rather than a lack of one due to the person dying.
Like if it was a hex/curse i'd understand but that's different from an existing disease.

also come to think of it i tried this both ways, with the oil and after killing and i got the same result, maybe i got bugged on the second run.
There's not like something you do in that back room to heal him is there?

Killing the Hag before she runs off into the fireplace offers the best chance for rescuing the most people who can be saved.

It is specifically said he was never sick, just fooled by the witch.

The best way to save them all is to alpha strike Ethel while she is still in the teahouse and kill her before she can teleport away.

Courtesy SPOILERS warning:

Can also confirm, killing AE saves the petrified dwarf, and he doesn't die once unpetrified (unless AE is still alive). The seer elf is also saved once you kill AE. I'm not sure about the other three incapacitated victims that are before the mirage door.

The four masked can be "saved" if you manage to bypass them (either wearing the same masks and succeeding Wis saves every often, or using protection from G&E while wearing the masks). But the moment you reach AE, she just summons the masked men down for a nasty fight. If you take the time to setup, you can instantly defeat her with a lucky shove on initial turn, saving everyone under her influence. (Three of the four masked victims will still simp for Ethel, but they won't be violent towards you. The fourth is thankful and heads out.)

If you try to battle her legitimate but want to save the masked victims, you're going to have to deal with all four of them, AE, and AE's mirages (all of which are just spamming Hold person on your party), and by Tyr's hand good luck to the fool that suicidal.

His disease was faked. AE was magically torturing him and gaslighted him in believing it was an incurable disease and that he should remain stoned in order to survive. Myth bust her logic and the dwarf is rightfully angry but happy to be alive.

Killing AE is necessary for three of them. Basilisk Oil will work for one of them. (It can be found early in the "apothecary" "basement" in "Moonhaven". There are other places, too.)

Note that there is an intended flow to dealing with AE and Mayrina. There are ways to get around it, but it can cause problems trying to help everyone.

Apologies if this is old, but a note: yes you can bring him back (the petrified one) but he'll immediately die if you do. The only way to save the cursed victims that are still alive (lorrin, petrified dwarf, mayrina, masked guys if you used nonlethal) is if you kill Ethel

Except if Ethel is defeated and bargains her way into escape, that same dwarf drops dead from his "disease" while the other guy gets to go free because Auntie Ethel left the area.

Interestingly ( do not know if this has long term consequences).

You can use non lethal damage to knock the four people out.

IF you remove their masks when ether is alive they die, but if you go and finish her off, THEN return to remove their masks they live.

Unfortunately, they just disappear after time, so no way to discuss with them.

I literally just played this scene and the dwarf didn't even need the potion to heal from being petrified, and didn't die or anything like in my previous playthrough.

I don't have an explanation. I know in previous tries I've had the dialogue options to convince him or discover that the disease was Ethel's doing, but this time he had to be un-petrified and had only one dialogue choice which leads to him dying.

The dwarf i don't think so, he's voluntarily petrified for a reason that comes into play seconds after you bring him back.
You can save the guys in masks by knocking them out/avoiding them but you don't see them anywhere later so i'm not sure it matters.

Dwarf can be saved. I killed auntie before she escaped through fireplace and when i got in that dwarf started conversation before i even touched him. He was just angry to auntie and thanked me and run away. I was bard and use bard option in conversation.

The petrified dwarf can be saved if you return to him after killing Ethel. If you let her go, he's hosed. You even get a little convo out of him.

The four masks can also be saved. Turn on non-lethal damage when you fight them and knock them all out. Then (very important) do NOT take the masks off of them. Removing the masks while Ethel is alive will kill them. If you KO them and loot everything off of them EXCEPT the masks, then kill Ethel... they live. If you manage it you can even talk briefly to the mask of regret afterwards, but it's hard to do. Sometimes she's just perma-KO'ed and sometimes she disappears after you rest and you never get the chance. But they live. You... don't really get anything out of it, but they live.

The elf who is losing his ♥♥♥♥ at you can be spoken to after you kill Ethel too. He just gives you a little talk and explains a little about what he saw when he looked at you. Again, nothing important but neat for immersion... and if you care to know he's alive.

The headless woman, the sad door and the blind elf (who seems to be a corpse anyway) can't be saved as far as I can find, but maybe someone else knows of a way? Dunno.

I killed and looted her. I came back to the room and the dward was still petrified and the elf still screaming about the future. I used basilisk oil on the dwarf, and he died. The elf remained screaming after talking to him. Is this some sort of bug?
