No note in Last Light Inn Selunite Altar
Killed the bad guys down below the Inn. But there is no note on the Selune Altar to advance the quest - Investigate Selunite Resisitance? Did they change the location in last patch or is it a bug?

Possible it gets bugged if you reach altar from inside inn instead of going through haunted house? But just a guess.

The area under the Last Light Inn isnt part of the Investigate the Resistance quest... not really.

Try looking under the Mason's place...

highlight objects? sometimes objects cant be interacted with until you move them or pick them up.

the game is a bit janky like that
