Adamantine forge WTF
What is the damn point of the ejection lever?
So i made the mistake of adding a mould to the damn thing BEFORE doing the fight with the guardian - i had no idea about the guardian -

So anyway, i fought the guardian (and in order to fight the guardian you have to go through the steps of using the forge) but during the fight i thought, NO BIG DEAL RIGHT! There is an ejection lever there, surely i can use it to eject the mould before i forge it right? NOPE. you can't eject the mould, so why the F is there a lever there... wtf

Well the moment you use the forge hammer you might as well say set it. Don't use the forge hammer unless you are 100% want that item to be forge.

The lever is there to eject the mould AFTER you make something to use another mould.

The reason there is a mould ejection is that there are two ores you can use,

I can’t tell from your post if the problem is you don’t think the guardian can be defeated without using the forge, or you can’t forge the item you want.

I beat him on the middle difficulty without using the forge because I didn’t know you could use the forge against him, so it can be done. You actually get a special achievement for not using the forge to crush him. Buff everyone with elixirs, and use oils on your weapons, use bludgeoning weapons and use summons if you have them. Tactician mode may be painfully tough without using the forge though.

I didn't use the hammer. I got locked in with the mould i placed there, and now i have to use the hammer
I don't know exactly what causes the choice i made to be locked in. Maybe it's the fact that i added the ore to the forge, i don't know. Regardless it would be great if there was a bit of a warning to the player that i was about to be locked in with that mould, and the lever that claims to be an eject lever, will not work past a certain choice...

It's also very annoying that you can go through the process of forging an item, before fighting the guardian, this is annoying because if the player ends up regretting the choice they made (even if it's unintentional) the only way of undoing this is to reload a save from before the fight.

Well, if you set a mould put the ore in and melted the ore it has now filled the mould so all you can do is hammer the object into shape. Ejecting the mould full of the melted ore wouldn't salvage anything.

Why did you put in a mould you didn't want in the first place?

I didn't know you could kill it with the forge, i did it the old fashioned way... Karlach swinging her big ass hammer buffed to hell and back by shadowheart while my main character and the astarion played poker in the background or something.

Look like you better load an old save and try again if you really want an object to be forge.

I didn't really knew what i was doing, i was saving the game so i felt that, hey i'll craft this item and see if it's good... i wasn't expecting the fight with the guardian in the middle of me forging it. but while i was fighting the guardian i thought, hey there this lever to eject the mould, it's okay i can just eject the mould and place something else in there.

My initial reaction to this was hell no will i be fighting that thing again where half of my team was basically useless to it due to all it's invulnerabilities.

but now that i learned that you can use the forge hammer to kill it, maybe i'll give it a go.

The items worth making, IMO, are the two armors.

It needs to walk on Lave first and then you can kill it.

Scale and Splint are amazing. The medium armour has only just now been replaced by an armour in act two that has no dex cap. My Bard PC's armour class is now 20.

i made the medium armor but the problem is that my MC sourcerer can't use medium armor. So i guess i'll just give this to Karlach.
