EDIT: Forgot about Mass Effect, that one is better than this. Again, just my opinion.
act -2 = mind blowing or just really good or good, depends om who you ask. me i liked it a lot. more because of the area then story.
act -3 = poor.
I do hate the ending. but it's not just the ending, I cant talk more without spoiling.
Act 2 is much more focused in what you're doing. Still plenty of side content to do, but much of it still relates to the overall Act 2 plot.
Act 3 meanders again. There's a lot of content, much of which doesn't really come into the main plot. Act 3 is also where I started seeing bugs and other issues.
Overall, the story is fine. I have my opinions on it, but if you're a fan of these types of games, I'd definitely recommend it.
But related to main story I found it quite disappointing and lacking, to explain myself no matter what you do in act 2 you will be forced to fight the same bosses, compared to act 1 in which at least you can choose a side of the conflict.
Act 3 I didn't bother to complete it and will wait for the definite edition.
