Is there a way to spare Nettie without pissing off Karlach

No matter what happens it ends up in a fight or she forces you to take the toxin. I tried pickpocketing the antidote but it just forces a conversation, and I dont think i can steal the crown off her head to open the door.

Short of cheesing the game, is there no canon way to keep her alive without getting Karlach disapproval?

I meta gamed and went straight to her location after landing on the beach. Larian gave her reactions for lots of stuff that most people might miss if they explored around first.

All well and good, but consequences are a thing in this game, and one of those consequences is that your companion might get annoyed by something.

Sounds like the choice is fight the druids, or say something Karlach doesn't like.

Actually, unless they changed it, you only fight Nettie not all the druids.

Just take the free poison? And if there's an issue with Karlach, don't bring her along when you talk to Nettie.

I play a paladin, I swore to take the poison and I pretty much don't plan on honoring that oath. After all, an oath sworn under duress is no oath at all, plus Greater Evil and all.
Even if, should be difficult to take that poison if I already used it on someone else, whoops.

I was curious though... What happens if you take it? Does it simply do the damage listed in the description, or is it instant death? And if it's death, is it "game over" death or is it the kind of death that's cured with a shrug and a revive?
