Solved: how to launch game in Linux

There is one problem - Larian's launcher.
It starts, but don't work.
If you want to play this game in Linux - you have to rename or delete launcher and make link to game.
In game's parent folder just run folowing command:
"ln -sr bin/bg3_dx11.exe Launcher/LariLauncher.exe" - it will create link, that change dir and launch game.
There is one problem: maybe you will have to repeat this action after game's update.
Have a nice game!

You can do this much more simply with steam launch options like: eval $( echo "%command%" | sed "s/Launcher\/LariLauncher.exe'.*/bin\/bg3.exe'/"
(swap bg3.exe for bg3_dx11.exe for DX11 renderer) or just use %command% --skip-launcher after selecting game renderer in launcher.

Mmh... is the Steam version really auto-starting the Larian launcher? I'm playing on GOG and the Larian launcher started once back in the EA - since then I directly use the bin/*.exe and was never bothered again.

On PC it is. The command in the Library is

steam://rungameid/1086940

And that directs to the Larian Launcher.

But by replacing the command in the launch options you can bypass the standard (launcher) altogether. Whether you do it directly or use launch options, by the end of the day it is just using either the direct path, or the shortcut which has been changed to become the direct path. Both works for PC and Linux equally good.

Worked out of the box for me. I ended up bypassing the launcher anyways due to faster loads, but didn’t get any issues on a Steam FHS on NixOS.
