Do i need Ropes?

There's only been a few instances in the game where I suspected the ropes I carry might have been used...but both times I forgot to check and see if a rope had actually been taken from my inventory. So i'll just ask: Are the ropes actually useful for anything but vendor trash?

In DOS2 you're able to use these kind of items. Nails for example can be put together with boots, so your characters wouldn't slip anymore. & ropes could be used to climb up some things.

Maybe in future we'll be able to use these items in BG3, but for now they're useless.

Ropes were also used to craft fuses I believe.

i thought ropes could be used to reach places and bedrolls could be used to heal up (like in dos2) but nope. its just deadweight you sell or ignore.

i had 20something bedrolls before i realized they were useless lol

It's kinda weird that so many items that were at least of ANY use in D:OS, in this game are useless, even gold to weight ratio makes it frequently worthless to pick up for trading. Cut content perhaps?
