Karlach's Questline Unfinished?

I've hear rumours everyone favourite loud Tiefling was a late edition to the roster of companions so perhaps this explains why so much of her story feels unfinished.
Dammon the Blacksmith makes mention after the second infernal engine upgrade (for me this was in Act 2) that there may be a cure of Karlach's condition, he's still working on the mechanics of it but we should prepare for the worst and go back to Avernus in the meantime. (its weird because Karlach says "You heard Dammon there is no cure for this, its hell or bust." despite the fact Dammon just expressly mentioned there is a Cure.)

Looked as I did though there seems no way to resolve this questline despite the fact you can change the fate of upmost everyone else in your group; like Gale.
It feels weird because the game gives you alot of infernal iron in act 3 and "Enhanced" infernal iron but nothing ever comes of it. Is there a resolution for Karlach in Act3? Because shes sadly very underdeveloped in the final act of the game. Ive heard that theres plenty that was left on the cutting room floor due to time restraints.
I hope Larian add one in as part of content updates or at least make it more obvious what to do. They did an amazing job with the character of Karlach and its sad that there is no satisfying resolution like there is for all the other NPCS. As it stands Karlach's questline feels very disjointed.

You are not missing anything. The "Best" option for her is not in the game. Only a relatively Good one if Wyll becomes the Blade of Avernus.

Karlach good ending was cut. I believe the only way to get a true good ending is to choose her as your Main Character. You can also get a good-ish ending by playing as Wyll and returning to Avernus with her if you don't break your pact.
You can get that ending if you aren't playing as Wyll but I don't consider getting cucked a good ending.
It's quite honestly the only cut content I care about, aside from Minthara's cut content.

You're not missing anything.

If you have her when you enter the city, the Steel Watcher says she has a faulty engine and need repairs. If you take her to the repair facility as part of the story, the lead gnome there says basically "I know the problem. You are using engine 1.0, the prototype for our finished models. An easy fix." and never gives you a chance to fix it. There are a few gems you can find in Act 1 and Act 2 that explicitly say they never warm up and seem eerily cold, which people have thought was another cut path for her story because they have no use beyond vendor junk.

finish all what u can finish with her, and make sure u dig in and talk to her. i think there are only 3 as for now that have good outcomes for her. 1 do wyll quest and finish it so he can save her, 2 let gale sacrifice himself, 3 let karlach transform into mindflyer which she was "Ok" with it lol. what people miss is, the person who intervene was originally infected by the mindflyer and retain himself and then got cucked by the big brain b/c he starts goofing around playing king. make sure u repair and get coolant too.

Karlach has 3 potential endings, all 3 of them are failstate endings because her quest content was removed from the game. It relied upon the Upper City portion which was a last minute cut itself.

1 - She dies, burning to death in agony

2 - She leaves to go back to Avernus as a slave with either you or Wyll to protect her

3 - She becomes an Illithid, your relationship ends, her soul is destroyed, her body is lost forever, and she becomes a brain eating monster but survives the ending with her personality temporarily intact.

she's not slave or at least when she'll be returning with u and wyll, there's some unclear sht in there, that the fallen angel was actually worry for her.

may be in the next game we'll meet her again or something, or may be we'll see Raphael if were not suppose to kill him. right now there was 7 endings or so for her.
