Arcane Lock the door, use Hold Person, use Command, heal her, throw potions at the floor, shove the bad guys away, etc, etc, etc...
Actually, no. It's very easy to find Isobel dying in the very first turn if you don't get lucky with initiative and have your team going first. Much of her survivability even in just the first round is entirely up to RNG. My first time playing the game, she was abducted and I just let it happen because I thought it was a scripted event since she literally died before I even got a chance to control my own characters. It doesn't help that the 'ambush' results in a lot of ally characters becoming surprised and unable to act.
This is just one of those events you need to save-scum until you get lucky with a turn or accept the outcome of.
I'm almost always first in the turn order and can't be surprised bc all my chars get that feat :P
