Yes, this is what I read in other posts. It doesn't answer the question, though.
Is there simply X amount of XP for completing Y quest, and if you are solo you get that same X amount regardless of party members or not, if companions are in camp or not. Or, do you get more XP for quests if you are solo, or, do you have to kill off companions and complete said quest for higher XP,
In early access, there was the option to make XP only apply to your party. So, if you were solo, you got all the XP and companions got nothing. There was no division of XP amount. This let you level faster reaching higher levels before traveling with companions. I can't find that option since full release, so, no clue how they changed XP distribution to just X set amount for everyone regardless making solo runs level the same as you would with a party.
OR... am I getting BG3 confused with another game that had that mechanic?
Ok. Thanks for clarifying it for me. Thought I might have gotten it mixed up with another game but wasn't sure if there was a bonus for solo play or not.
