Yeah, seems like theres only certain things youre allowed to do to not game over yourself
el. oh. el.
Have you ever played D&D? This is not uncommon in RPGs.
Also, it's "certain".
"welp", these modern games huh ?
RPG is Role Playing Game, not Role Creating Game. So by definition to play a ROLE, you need to do certain things pertaining to that Role.
There is also the not so discrete Gale image that says something along the lines "IT is very important that you resurrect me, not only in the sense of self preservation, but bla bla" meaning you need to resurrect him or something really bad will happen.
There are some other game over decisions you can make, like ask Vlaakit, or how the Lich Queen is called, to show you some power, or enter the hell with a cask of runepowder in your inventory and fighting someone who Idk, burn you.
What I find most interesting is that with all that, I might even accept that Vlaakit can kill you instantly because you are surrounded by Gith, and her power only extends where they have their gismos, and bla bla, but Raphael, who is a very powerful and all knowing son of a Arch Super Devil, when you fight him, if you have a cleric with you, the fight becomes a tedious dps sponge, because he sure cant harm a skilled cleric apparently. However if you have the Blood of Lathander (Idk if being wielded by a Lathander Cleric has any bearing), you will have a very short fight in which Raphael will be beaten like a street dog. So Gale can kill you if you kill him a few days, Vlaakit can kill you by willing it, but the powerful Raphael just need a little spanking to die.
It works better if you either don't kill him or just leave him stuck in the portal
i dont know what half of this means, im new to the game, all i know is i got super confused why my party died, and i got pissed off cause the game did not tell me why, like did they die in their sleep? do i need to eat in the game, mabye they starved, i did not connect it to the mage at all, ofc the decisions i make should have ♥♥♥♥ happen, bad and good, but i would like to know why i die, thats all, and with the help from here i now know :D mostly that i am a dumbass that forget stuff that i did early on in the game,, haha
Playing The Dark Urge you get a moment where you kill a companion and the rest of them turn on you. I never tried to win it to see what would happen if I killed them all. But it happens somewhere in Act 2, you're tasked with killing Isobel. The game has a lot of branching ways it can "end."
That's what why we F5.
