party died in sleep?

yo, so i took a long rest and when morning comes it says i have been defeated? no indication of what happend or why, did they just all die in their sleep at the same time? , is this a bug? and i assume yes, is there something to fix it?

Was your Gale already dead for several days? Because if so, that's one of the game over triggers

Closest thing I've had like was when camping in the gnoll cave. Upon leaving camp the game was somehow progressing in the world the two npcs were dead and the gnolls were beating the ♥♥♥♥ out of my characters. When the load finished the game finally realized my characters were in combat.

i dont have any gale in my party tho, i did kill some peeps that i could talk to tho, some devil barbarian lady, and a mage dude, druid woman that kindnapped a child.
any of those gale?

He's the one person you kill that will end the game in like 2 days after his death. There is even a pretty long cut scene that happens afterwards explaining this. :)

that mage dude was probably Gale. He carries something like a nuke in his body and if he dies it goes off after some time, killing everyone in the region.

So, don't kill him...

Its a very scripted game.. if you don't want gale in the future don't pull him out of the portal.

There are consequences for actions in this game, killing Gale has consequences. That all still falls within RPG parameters.
