Shadowlanter or Mystra gift?

In Moonrise Tower when you get Baltasar secret room you can craft a shadow lantern or destroy the ritual circle. If you destroy the ritual circle you get Mystra blessing(adv to Con saving throws). But it only works for act 2. When you get to act 3 it will disappear. Should I ignore the buff and go for the item?

Also it is permanent? Because both Lovitar gift and Mystra blessing wasn't permanent when you left for the next act. The Githezerai mind barrier is.

Lovitar's Love blessing is permanent - I still have it in act 3, same with Githzerai Mind Barrier. Don't know about Mystra though (missed that one ).

Then if you have too many buffs / debuffs it will be removed.

Checked. It is the same permanent buff (advantage to con saving throws) when you allow Gale to choose as when you force Gale to dispel the ritual circle.

Mystra's benevolence goes away after long rest either way. Not sure if it'sa bug or not.

Mystras benevolence only lasts till long rest. Loviatars love last till your first death. Shadowlantern is permanent.

But shadow lantern uses up a weapon slot, which by that time can be better used with something else, even for Gale. And all you get out of it is a summon, right? The way my own party members carve through shadows like they were tissue paper, I'm not sure I would expect the summon to be all that game-changing.

I see this mainly as a role-playing event. Is Gale trying to get Mystra to like him again, or is he pissed off?

As for Lovitar's I went through and passed all the dice rolls and didn't get the blessing. Supposedly I didn't scream enough or some such bs. So I did the proper thing. I killed him.

I always choose the intimidation option, maybe that is why. I always get it. He loves the responses.
