Quasit summon

Are there any conditions for quasit shovel/fork/basket to became your familiar?
Cause on my walkthrough, when I used the scroll as a sorcerer, it was added as summon ritual spell(same as scratch).
And now I started coop session, and this scroll seems to just summon quasit once, maybe something was fixed or broken during update?

its a (customized) spell scroll summoning one specific quasit.

due to it being a scroll its supposed to be single use.
wizards are the only ones supposed to bypass that limitation by simply learning the spell.

You can jut talk with him and he will teach you the spell.

I don't play as wizard so Gale has this skill now, just after talking with Shovel. Not sure what criteria would be for him to teach character the spell, it didn't work on cleric SH and my pal MC, only on Gale. So probably has to be wizard and maybe sorcerer, maybe warlock too

To unlock Shovel's (or Fork/Basket) summoning spell as a sorcerer, what you have to do is :

1) Use the scroll yourself.
2) Don't mock him if you're Dragonborn by making him flap his arms.
3) Don't change his name.
4) Don't command him not to do evil things.

After that, when the conversation end just talk to him again and he will call you a magic sh*t or something and give you the spell.

It's based on my recent experience (this morning) where I followed that after finally using the scrolls hours after I discovered the scroll and succeeded all the skills checks with the book.
