Halo of spores sucks.

Like, I feel like it was supposed to synergize really well with symbiosis, and it's cool in theory, but in the last 15 hours since I started this druid, it's NEVER hit once. Not against goblins, not against spiders, not against red caps, not against gnolls, and forget trying it against anything in the underdark. I get its a con save which is kinda hard, but come on! NOT A SINGLE TIME has it hit and I've tried, like seriously went out of my way to use my reaction just to make the damn thing hit for the last hour.

I haven't properly counted, but I've tried using it at least a dozen times, like...this is supposed to be part of the signature mechanic of the class right? I go in, hit with extra necrotic damage, blast some spores. which has been utterly useless.

Spores get better as you go, kind of.

Yeah, they do more damage. Which would be cool if they ever hit. Maybe you're right, I'm just some super fringe outlier of some extreme RNG, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hell.
