The game will be different, but that is the whole point of games that has different endings.
That's.... not accurate really. Or misleading at best.
The origin characters were baked into the world and lore.
The Player Character is your creation, but the effects of the unfolding story do not require origin characters.
But the game will then be very hard.
and every single companion has his own massive questline that goes through act 1 to 3,
some are Act 2 only, some are act 3 only.
My main character was a female elf (even tho im a male) so for me everybody wanting sex with her was completely fine.
I'd suggest just turn them down. Each one has only said something romancy to me once and I was like "Piss off" and they left me alone.
The stories of the origin characters are the origin characters stories and thus require them to be experienced.
