Are The Main Characters Required?
I asked this in another thread but they were too busy arguing with each other about... hell I don't even know... so I'll ask again here.

Is it even possible to play the game to completion if you kill off all the main characters?

They're not required.

I recommend killing them. Aside from few side quests not much you lose.

You can certainly try. I'm curious how a 100% murder-hobo run would go.

I mean there's nothing really stopping you, give it a shot and get back to us

Not required! You can play with 3 of your friends and end the game!
The game will be different, but that is the whole point of games that has different endings.

From what people have said the companions are the main characters, and the player character is optional and the one not really necessary for the story.

No, you can ignore everyone and go solo if you want.

That's.... not accurate really. Or misleading at best.

The origin characters were baked into the world and lore.

The Player Character is your creation, but the effects of the unfolding story do not require origin characters.

Yes you can kill all of the companions and just go through the game solo.

But the game will then be very hard.

and every single companion has his own massive questline that goes through act 1 to 3,
some are Act 2 only, some are act 3 only.

Thanks. I wish it were possible to experience that content without having to talk to them. I guess my main problem is every time I even ask them basic questions the game thinks I want to get in their pants. I don't play these kinds of games for the romance. I really couldn't care less about that stuff and it gets really annoying.

if you reach sex scenes in their conversations, there will be moments where you can direct the decisions of them, in their own questlines. Like for example Laezel can betray her own queen and godess, if she likes you enough, and in the options you tell her to not follow the queen. And it completely changes the course of the game.

My main character was a female elf (even tho im a male) so for me everybody wanting sex with her was completely fine.

I'd suggest just turn them down. Each one has only said something romancy to me once and I was like "Piss off" and they left me alone.

The stories of the origin characters are the origin characters stories and thus require them to be experienced.

Isn't that the Dark Urge story arc?

That's the problem though. The conversations aren't even remotely like that and then suddenly they are all over me. And some of the cut scenes are very creepy.
