ACT 2 Progression Question [SPOILERS]

My party is in the Shar Temple (Gauntlet of Shar) and have reached the Shadowfell entrance in the Verge of the Shadows section of the temple. I clicked on the entrance but was given a warning that the state of the region may change and active quests may become unavailable.

I haven't done much in ACT 2 except for wake up the comatose Fist now Halsin is waiting for me to continue that quest line, also I've finished with the creepy Shar doctor but haven't reached or interacted with Moonrise Towers yet, and I got the Moonlight Lantern from the Drider.

Am I OK to continue through the Shadowfell entrance or should I go back and keep questing in the area?

Irs a fair warning once you go in your ACT 2 ending goes 2 options only 1 can be chosen which effects ending ultimately.

If they didn't put that in I bet you 1000 Gold idiots be complaining omg I don't want this ending Larian sucks etc.

Should I wrap up the main Moonrise Towers quest before returning?

I'd say you definitely shouldnt do it yet, do it only when you've done most of the stuff in Moonrise Towers and other areas, like it says, it gets rid of some quests and progresses the story heavily. You also cant go back to Act 1 areas when you do it.

Yes. Heading into the Shadowfell should be one of the last things you do.

Don't enter the shadowfell till you've cleared all side quests in act 2.

If you start the Shadowfell, all Act 1 areas will become unavailable, and any quests you have at moonrise will fail. I'd do everything you can before going there.
