Multiple people in the game tell you the Moonrise Towers are steeped in such deep shadows regular light will not help you. You need a Moonlantern or something similar. Selune's Blessing is irrelevant, the person who gave it to you also told you it's not enough to approach Moonrise.
There's another way~

Dockside, behind Toll House down low

She gives you a blessing that substitutes the moonlantern. If you failed to get her blessing (is that possible?) and can't talk to her again (check your bags for a bell) then I have no idea what to do.

The pixie gives you Pixie's Blessing. Selune's Blessing is a different thing you got from a different source.

There is a second working moon lantern (at least) without the option to interact with the imp, but I can't remember where I found it. I'm sure it was near the start of that area tho.

One is on the drider, the other is in moonrise itself. Theres plenty of broken ones, but i dont think you can fix them until, well, moonrise.
