No answer from Larian support since august 13th

Hello everyone,

I bought the game in Early access and was really hyped when it released and since I really enjoyed Dviinity orignal sin 1 and 2, I was looking forward to playing this game.
I had really high hopes and thought of the Larian studios to be a really great company.

However. I can´t seem to get the game running properly and the support from Larian seems to be the worst I´ve ever seen.
I sent 3 tickets already with 0 of them being taken care of. I only get an automated message, that it might take longer than usual.

I understand that it can be a bit longer than usual for your ticket to be taken care of (the usual amount is a reply in 24-48h from experience), but it shouldn´t take 12 days in any circumstance.

I just wanna be able to finally play the game with my friends and not have constant lags of 0,5-1 sec delay when camera doesnt move and there are no special effects happening. I want the music not to stutter already in the "create" your character screen at the beginning.

My specs for this game are more than enough and if anyone has any input on how to solve it, please help, cause Larian Studio support clearly doesn´t care.

Okay, this may seem stupid but if you haven't played since early access, once the full game released, it gave you the option to update the game. That doesn't work. Delete all of your Early Access saves, and then uninstall and reinstall BG3. Try that and get back to me.

You're not the only living bring on earth, not the only player in the game and not the only one with questions or needed help.

What exactly makes you special that they need tp response to you immediately after your submit requests?


Considering the SHEER AMOUNT OF PLAYER GLOBALLY playing this game atm and Larian specifically stated response based on the time request was submitted.

And that by normal standards if you just rant in your ticket they are not obligated to respond nor any devs really.

You said it doesn't run properly. You didn't say that it doesn't run at all.

So what is the problem you are having to make you say that it isn't running properly. You'll find you may have to be a little more specific that simply ranting if you want someone to help you . .

[edit] because if all you are having if music stutter in the character creation section - that doesn't sound game breaking.

You will likely have better luck in the official Larian Discord, there is a BG3-Troubleshooting channel in there and it is a very active forum where the Larian staff are fairly active.

What I said was that I also do have lags (=delay on input reaction) of 0,5-1 sec when I´m standing still, no special effects happening etc.

Imagine howering over a skill and it takes 1 sec to even show wht the skill does, then you mouseover the next one, wait another second to see what it does and we´re not talking about how high the spikes can go when there is special light effects involved.

I only play these games plugged in and on high performance mode (laptop wise speaking not game wise) so that the laptop uses all its resources.

have you tried to run the game on priority "high" in task manager? just in case you have some weird stuff running in the background?

Ok.

I'm not a techie but it would appear to suggest you have some sort of bottleneck in your graphics processing capacity.

I still have occasional mini- lags with some stuff, occasional crashes with DX 11. I just wait it out as to be fair, I'm not playing multi-player, which you appear to suggest you are doing. In which case, it may be your internet is a little slow in communicating with your other party members.

<shrug>

There are many reasons as it is a colossaly graphics intensive game . . but . . it is working. It may require some cleaning, i.e. others programs you have hogging the processor (I don't know - I'm guessing, don't @ me) or maybe your cooling is not great.

Tone down your settings and try that out first and see how it runs as a baseline and then increase until you notice a difference that takes away from your gaming experience and then tone it back to what runs comfortably. You may have to sacrifice something to get the experience you think you deserve I'm afraid.
